Dermabrasion is a procedure that involves the controlled removal of skin with a mechanical device. In dermabrasion, the outermost layer of skin smoothening process continues until the surgeon reaches the safest level that will aid the scar or wrinkle in being less visible.

The goal of Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Daniel Holley is to help restore a youthful appearance to the skin by softening damaged or aging skin.
Dermabrasion is a versatile procedure that is used to treat a variety of skin issues. Some of the concerns that are commonly treated with dermabrasion are scarring due to acne, natural aging fine lines, age spots and sun spots.

Dermabrasion is a procedure in which a special, rotating surgical instrument is used to carefully resurface the irregularities of the skin, giving the skin a much smoother appearance. It can improve fine facial wrinkles and scars from acne.

Dermabrasion can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but neither treatment will remove all scars and flaws or prevent the aging process. It is normally safe when it is performed by a qualified and experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Dermabrasion can be performed fairly quickly. The procedure usually takes from a few minutes to two hours, depending on how large an area of skin is involved. It’s not uncommon for the procedure to be performed more than once, or in stages, especially when scarring is deep or a large area of skin is involved. This will be discussed during your complimentary consultation at Holley Surgical Arts.
